Privacy Policy
Effective October 19, 2026
Twin State Safety ("we," "us") runs twinstatesafety.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you register for a class, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the class you want, and anything else you choose to tell us. If you sign up through your employer, we also collect your mailing address, your employer, the class location and time you choose, and (if you give them) your phone, plus any of these your employer asks for: employee ID, department and supervisor. Your mailing address and email are needed for your course completion card. If you sign up on your own, we may collect your town and the number of people.
We use this information only to schedule your class, contact you about it, and keep training records. We send you a confirmation email so you know we received your registration. If you sign up through your employer, that email has a link you click to confirm your address works, because your course completion card is sent there.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only when needed to deliver your training (for example, to issue a course completion card through the certifying organization) or when the law requires it. If your employer arranged your training, we may confirm your attendance and completion with them.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
- Metronome settings. The CPR Metronome remembers your last mode and speed in your own browser (local storage). This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
YouTube videos
The "Play the real song" buttons load official music videos from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing loads from YouTube until you tap a button. Once a video plays, YouTube (Google) may collect information under Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising and cookies
We may show ads through Google AdSense to help keep the CPR Metronome free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Amazon affiliate links
Twin State Safety is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an Amazon link on this site, Amazon may set cookies to track the referral. Amazon's use of your information is covered by Amazon's Privacy Notice.
How long we keep information
We keep registration details as long as needed to deliver your class and maintain training records, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@twinstatesafety.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Class registration is meant for adults. A parent or guardian should register anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
Security
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of sending or storing information online is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
